Plant in full or part sun and well-drained soil. Provide a site with good airflow. The Alberta Spruce attracts birds. It is deer resistant and can handle high wind, heat, and cold, and is even drought tolerant once established. There is no need to prune this evergreen, but it tolerates pruning well.
